Academia

The Academia Urquiza was opened in January 2003. Ever since a growing number of students is being taught. The fundament of the lessons is a particular style, which is based upon a clear approach to method, structure and technique.
The Academia unifies a variety of study options and pursues an intensifying acquaintance with tango as an all-embracing social and cultural phenomenon.
The Academia offers a highly professional training due to its concentrated engagement with tango and its tradition. The main focus of the teaching method is the personal and individual treatment of the students.
The Academia enables them to learn tango in all its diverse forms of expression through a wide training program: Regular courses, open training sessions, workshops and prácticas. The lessons are always given by a teaching couple, with the exception of the special technique and body training courses which are led only by one teacher.
Private lessons (with one or two teachers) are recommended for precise and concentrated work on individual habits and key aspects.
