Salón

The Salón Urquiza was established as a centre for Tango Argentino in Berlin-Mitte. With its bar, DJ-corner, dark parquet floor of cured oakwood and subtle lighting, the 150 sqm Salón creates the special atmosphere of a tango salón.
The name of the Salón derives from a quarter of Buenos Aires, named "Villa Urquiza". The urban quarter in northern Buenos Aires conferred its name to a group of dancers, who developed and cultivated the particularly elegant dance style, "Estilo Urquiza".
Since its opening in October 2003 Salón Urquiza has been providing a forum for various events. In addition to the regular Milongas, unforgettable Tango shows and performances take place here, as do exhibitions and other festivities.
